What is Annie about, and what kind of show is it?

Annie is a family-friendly musical set during the Great Depression. It follows the spirited orphan Annie as she finds a temporary home with Oliver Warbucks. The celebrated score includes ?Tomorrow,? ?It's the Hard Knock Life,? and ?Easy Street.? The original Broadway production opened in 1977 and won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

How long is Annie?

The musical typically runs about 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. Exact timing can vary by production, so allow extra time for arrival, seating, and exiting the theater.

Is Annie suitable for children?

Annie is generally considered a family-friendly show for all ages, making it a popular choice for a family outing. Children may especially enjoy the upbeat songs, dancing, colorful 1930s-inspired staging, and Sandy the dog. Check the venue's current policies and the specific event listing for any age or ticket requirements.

Will there be an opening act?

Musicals such as Annie generally begin with the show rather than a separate opening act. The cast and production details may vary, so consult the event listing for any updates about this Carmel engagement.

What are the best seats at The Tarkington Theater?

For a balanced view of the performers, choreography, and full stage design, many theatergoers prefer centered seats in the orchestra or front of the balcony, depending on availability and budget. Families may also want to consider sightlines and convenient access when choosing seats. Review the seating map and seat details before checkout, as views and layouts can vary by event.

Are there seats to avoid at The Tarkington Theater?

There is no universally ?worst? seat, but seats at the far sides or toward the rear may provide a more angled or distant view than centered locations. Check the seat location and any view information shown in the listing before buying. If a close view of facial expressions is important, prioritize seats nearer the stage and closer to the center.

Where can I park for The Tarkington Theater?

The Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts is in downtown Carmel, where parking availability and walking distances can vary by performance. Review current venue parking guidance and local signs before you travel, and allow extra time during busy evenings. A useful local tip is to arrive early enough to park and walk to the theater without rushing; do not assume a particular lot or garage is included with your ticket.

Can I take public transportation to the theater?

Public transportation options in Carmel may be more limited than in central Indianapolis, and routes or schedules can change. Check current transit services and operating hours for your travel date, then plan for the final walk to the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts. Rideshare or a prearranged drop-off may be convenient alternatives.

What are the bag and entry policies?

Bag size, prohibited items, and security procedures are set by the venue and may change. Check the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts' current entry guidance before leaving home. Traveling with only a small bag can make arrival and screening easier.
